noticeable

B1
adjective

Pronunciation

UK

  • /nˈəʊtɪsəbəl/

US

  • /ˈnoʊtəsəbəl/

Description

Something noticeable is easy to see, hear, or recognize. It is not hidden or slight; you become aware of it without much effort. A bright red car in a parking lot full of silver ones would be noticeable, and so would a sudden change in someone's behavior. Sometimes, "noticeable" points to something positive, like a noticeable improvement in a student's grades. Other times, it simply means something is clear and hard to miss, like a noticeable stain on your shirt. Think of it as anything that your senses pick up easily.
