playable

A1
adjective

Pronunciation

UK

  • /plˈeɪəbəl/

US

  • /plˈeɪəbəl/

Description

Something that's playable is ready enough to use or enjoy, even if it is not perfect. Think of a video game that loads and runs well enough for you to keep going without constant crashes. A rough version of a song can also be playable for band practice, even if it still needs work. The idea is simple: it works for its basic purpose. You could even call an old, slightly dented basketball playable if people can still use it for a game.
